Any person or organization interested in contributing to specific projects or to the general support of the Palliative Care – Heart failure Education And Research Trials should contact Sarah Goodlin, PC-HEART director. She’ll discuss with you what your particular interests are, what you organization can contribute to the collaborative’s projects, and how and where we can best work together.

If you haven’t yet signed in, please do so. This process is simple; you can read details in this Frequently Asked Question resource. Our system generates an email to our staff when you register, and if appropriate, they will add you to some of our limited-access groups where you can read, discuss, and get involved.

Projects

Collaborative participants can participate in

  • Research: Pilot studies identified by the collaborative & funded through PC-Heart core funding, collaboratively developed research studies, funded via grants to PC-HEART, individual investigator-developed and funded projects to which sites contribute patients.
  • Quality Improvement Initiatives: (with or without funding).
  • Education: Health Care Provider will be developed and administered through PC-Heart. Patient and family education will be created, tested and made available for those participating in the collaborative.

Types of participation

Collaborative members are invited to participate on one or both of the following levels:

  • Research
    1. Develop & direct projects
    2. Solicit funding for projects
    3. Enroll patients in projects & in registry
    4. Analyze data
    5. Write manuscripts/publish results

  • Heart Failure Care
    1. Participant in development of projects
    2. Enroll patients in projects & in registry
    3. Design, Test & redesign improvement projects and patient and family education
