The Collaborative

PC-HEART began after a consensus conference on palliative and supportive care in advanced heart failure. The statement from the conference is published. [1] We began as a web-based collaborative with annual meetings to plan projects and activities.

Collaborative members participated in web-based projects, and attending meetings to plan and implement work. The infrastructural support for these two activities required $30,000- $60,000 per year.

Our new approach is streamlined, and we will utilize web-based tools and conference calls to facilitate collaboration.
